According to the contract with Trento province’s public service corporation (Azienda Provinciale per i Servizi), Edison NEXT led an energy efficiency project to optimize consumption levels of hospital plants and guarantee the best possible conditions of environmental comfort for patients.

APSS Trento engaged Edison NEXT to provide integrated management of its plants and several advanced services, such as the contact centre, the control room and the information system.
The requirement
The energy efficiency project for APSS Trento’s hospitals provides for overall improvement of the levels of reliability of plants and patient comfort, as well as a significant reduction in consumption levels. The project is part of a wider Multiservice Management featuring advanced facility management services and the outsourcing of the contact centre, the control room and the information system.

The solution
Edison NEXT provided the planning and implementation of plant upgrades for APSS hospitals. Upgrades already completed include:
Thermal plants and heating units
Upgrading of the thermal plants and replacement of the heating units.
Air conditioning units
Replacement and integration of the air conditioning units.
Circulation fans and inverters
Installation of variable capacity circulation fans and inverters on the air conditioning units.
Heat recovery systems
Installation of active heat recovery systems on ventilation.
Charging columns
Installation of charging columns for electric vehicles.
