100% green energy without investment burden

Edison NEXT led a major Italian operator in the chemical industry throughout the decarbonisation of a large production site. Wide-ranging expertise, investment capability and control over the entire value chain are the key elements in the Edison NEXT approach that provided a significant reduction in energy costs and CO2 emissions for this customer.

The customer

Edison NEXT assisted a major Italian operator in the chemical industry with a production plant in Lazio.

The requirement

Reduction of energy costs and carbon footprint by building a photovoltaic plant without diverting resources from the core business for investments and management activities.

Reduce energy spending and CO2 emissions
Remediate and renovate the industrial site’s roofing
No investments in building or managing the plant

Edison NEXT’s solution

Edison NEXT led the customer throughout the project, from the feasibility study to design, building and management of the plant. The first step was remediation and building of new roofing, on which a photovoltaic plant with 500 kW capacity was installed, based on the production site’s available surface area and electricity requirement.
