Edison NEXT led a major Italian operator in the chemical industry throughout the decarbonisation of a large production site. The customer
Edison NEXT assisted a major Italian operator in the chemical industry with a production plant in Lazio.
The requirement
Reduction of energy costs and carbon footprint by building a photovoltaic plant without diverting resources from the core business for investments and management activities.
Edison NEXT’s solution
Edison NEXT led the customer throughout the project, from the feasibility study to design, building and management of the plant. The first step was remediation and building of new roofing, on which a photovoltaic plant with 500 kW capacity was installed, based on the production site’s available surface area and electricity requirement.

Zero investments
Edison NEXT took the burden of the entire investment for the plant building, thus allowing the customer to avoid economic outlay and deconsolidate the asset.
