For ASST Cremona we optimized energy consumption levels and reduced environmental impact, aiming at guaranteeing maximum comfort and safety for patients.

The solution
Under its management contract, Edison NEXT upgraded the thermal plants, the beating heart of the hospitals in Cremona and Castelmaggiore and installed two high performance trigeneration plants.
Trigeneration
Trigeneration covers all the hospitals’ needs by producing electrical, heating and cooling energy from the same source.
Cogeneration
Cogeneration plants use motors to produce electrical energy and heat exchangers to recover thermal energy.
Heat recovery
Recovered heat is used in the cold season for ambient heating and in summer, with an absorber, to produce cold water for cooling.
